Personas — who Fabric is for
Fabric is infrastructure, but it exists for people with a job to do. The personas below are written the way real users describe themselves — I am… I want to… I care about… — and grouped by the domain they work in. Each group links to the use case that shows how the network serves them.
These are starting points, not an exhaustive list, and they're deliberately written to be region-agnostic — the same roles recur across markets. If yours isn't here, it almost certainly maps to a small permutation of the same handful of Fabric capabilities — tell the working group.
Energy & climate
Serves the Rooftop solar & prosumer energy markets and Energy procurement at data-centre scale use cases.
I am… | I want to… | I care about… |
|---|---|---|
A distribution-utility executive | reduce peak-load stress without investing in immediate transformer upgrades | grid reliability, regulatory compliance, and reducing capex burden |
An EV fleet operator | optimise charging costs across hundreds of vehicles | predictable energy costs, uptime, and sustainability reporting |
An industrial facility manager | participate in demand-response programs without disrupting operations | operational continuity and financial incentives |
An agricultural cooperative leader | help member farmers monetise surplus solar generation | year-round income stability and simple participation models |
A homeowner with a rooftop solar array | sell my excess daytime solar at a better price than the utility's feed-in rate — directly to a neighbour, a nearby business, or a local institution | a meaningful ROI on my rooftop, especially in daytime hours when my own use is low |
A property owner whose solar site and meter sit at different locations | have the generation credits from one site flow to the electricity bill at another | the rules assume the panel and the meter share an address, so cross-site credits are uncertain |
The founder of a regional rooftop-solar installation business | give customers one clean journey — lead → survey → grid approval → rebate → payout — without them chasing each step | every step lives in a different portal; a dropped lead or delayed rebate becomes a bad review |
The founder of a load-intelligence platform working with EV networks, large commercial customers, and utilities | deliver lower effective rates by shifting loads to off-peak hours and matching them with nearby surplus solar under direct P2P arrangements | delivering clean, automated savings without locking each new prosumer or utility into a multi-month integration |
A community microgrid operator | settle energy sold between households on a shared minigrid, transparently | fair metering, instant settlement, and trust between neighbours |

A pet-services owner | share my offerings on the network and create an identity for the pets I care for — vaccinations, care history | growing the business and improving pet care |
An indie game studio founder | accept micropayments from players in dozens of countries without payment-processor friction | conversion rate, settlement speed, and chargeback exposure |
An artisan cooperative lead | reach buyers directly with verifiable provenance and origin claims | fair margins for members and protection against knock-offs |

A partner at a boutique competition-law firm | provide specialised advisory services | reaching the right clients faster, without heavy marketing and operations overhead |
An NGO program director matching trained paralegals | match pro-bono paralegals with firms, organisations, and people who need aid | the right legal help reaching the right person instantly, without administrative overhead |
A private arbitration institution | act as the trusted authority for high-value trade disputes | that arbitration decisions can enforce themselves — freeze accounts, transfer assets |
